Headline about current library research project...
Kindergarten Researchers? The kindergartners at Iowatown Elementary School have been researching their own questions
in the library using a children's encyclopedia, supplemented with World Book Encyclopedia. Students have found answers to
their most pressing questions, ranging from "How does the Earth spin?" to "Why does a bee sting?" and "Who made the first
electricity?" Students practiced notetaking skills and recording their answers.

Celebrating favorite authors' birthdays is a regular occurrence at Iowatown Elementary School.
This photograph was taken of a first grade library class playing with Oobleck from the
Dr. Seuss book, Bartholomew and the Oobleck. They did a few experiements to see
if the Oobleck was a solid or a liquid.
